EAP 48: Jenna Hearn – Making Positive Lifestyle Changes with Grace
Learn your patterns by figuring out what you do enjoy and find things that fit into that #EAP #LifestyleChanges
Our guest on this episode of the Early Accountability Podcast is Jenna, a physical therapist, integrative health coach, and founder of Eudai Wellness. She started Eudai to help people in the areas of physical, mental, and emotional health as well as nutrition. Many people have issues starting and maintaining good habits, and Jenna works with her clients to establish a profile that encompasses their patterns, routines, likes, and dislikes before coming up with the plan that may be right for them. She employs the “crowding out” method frequently, encouraging clients to increase their intake of healthier foods and drinks without requiring them to stop eating and drinking their guilty pleasures, which usually results in them voluntarily gravitating towards the healthier items before long.
For those individuals who are overwhelmed by how far they feel like they have to go, Jenna encourages grace, realizing that habits and routines do not change overnight but your goals can be attainable when you break them down into short-term and long-term goals. This gives her clients the mindset that this is a journey of self-care above all else, and you should give yourself plenty of grace along the way.
Dr. Jenna Hearn was born and raised in Houston, TX. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA where she practices as a physical therapist, coaches clients on nutrition and wellness, avidly practices yoga, all while being a full time mommy to a two year daughter. Dr. Hearn received her Bachelors of Health Sciences degree from Howard University in 2006. She went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in 2010. While working full-time, she also completed her Yoga Rehab Certification through Byrd Rider Rehab in 2017 and in January 2018, she received her Nutritional Health Coaching Certification from Integrative Nutrition. Birthed out of her desire to reconnect families through their relationship with food and feelings, in December 2017, Dr. Hearn founded her company, Eudai Wellness. Through food, fitness, and meditation, Eudai Wellness’ mission is to guide one to Eudaimonia. (Greek term to describe the highest human good.)
Growing up a true southern girl, Dr. Hearn understands the importance of food and family. While eating GOOD is a staple of the south, Dr. Hearn has dedicated her life to understanding how what we consume physically, emotionally AND spiritually all equally impact our health. Her belief is that being healthy is so much more than just exercise and diet…what we feed, read, and watch on a daily basis, what we believe and tell ourselves, along with the energy of origin where our food comes from all impact our health. Eudai Wellness offers one-on-one nutritional health coaching, using yoga, meditation, essential oils, and food to guide you on your journey to becoming whole. “You eat how you feel and feel how you eat”, as a result when you feel and feed yourself the best then you will operate at your best!
